Currently your data should follow the CEI-Monasterium schema (http://www.mom-ca.uni-koeln.de/mom/resource/?atomid=tag:www.monasterium.net,2011:/mom/resource/xsd/cei. Archival fonds should be described in EAD.

The CEI-MOM-schema defines the elements and attribtutes to be editable in the MOM-CA-editor at ./xs:annotation/xs:appinfo/xrxe:relevant, so it is a good decision to map your data preferable to these elements. Stiftsarchiv Geras, Urkunden 1303 VII 12 gives you an example with extensive markup (although it does not include the full range of possible markup). The only mandatory elements are cei:idno and cei:issued/cei:date@value (default: 99999999 representing an unkown date) for each charter.

Archival fonds can be decribed with the usual vocabulary of EAD at the "collection"-level.

A draft of a proposal how to encode single charters (at the "item"-level) with EAD for MOM-CA has been developed in several technical meetings. A first example is already online, which follows this schema. You can even try a preliminary stylesheet to convert the EAD to the CEI-MOM format.

It is possible to import the XML-data directly into the MOM-CA-database. Please contact metadata@monasterium.net to discuss the necessary steps. |
